ABOUT THE BAND
The Guilty Pleasures is an acoustic band with roots in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Their sound is centered in bluegrass, old-time folk, ballads, jigs and reels, but they also feature familiar (and unfamiliar!) tunes from Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, John Prine, Hank Williams, and The Beatles.
This seasoned group brings together John McNeal (guitar), Nat Smith (bass), Meredith Nye (fiddle), and Michael Booze (banjo). Their diverse musical backgrounds span genres from punk to classical to country to jazz, resulting in a unique acoustic mix with a little something for everyone.
They can be found playing across North Carolina at breweries, pubs, cideries, weddings, rehearsal dinners, family reunions, music festivals and occasionally Nat's living room for rehearsal. Come out and find us, and kick back and relax - or dance if you want to - with the Piedmont's premier purveyors of Americana!
